Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 October 2026
This policy explains what information SimpleTools24 (simpletools24.com) collects, how it’s used, and the choices you have. If you have questions, contact us.
Tools that run in your browser
Most of our tools process everything on your own device. Files and information you enter in these tools are not uploaded to our server. This includes our calculators, image cropper, ambigram generator, GUID and UUID tools, credit card test number generator, dumb charades generator, binary file viewer, DICOM viewer, and the “Paste URLs” mode of the sitemap generator.
Tools that use our server
Two tools send data to our server because they can’t work otherwise:
- Large File Viewer: files you upload are stored temporarily on our server so they can be opened page by page. Each file is stored under a random identifier and deleted automatically after 1 hour without use, or immediately when you choose “Delete from server”. We don’t look at, share or keep copies of uploaded files, and file contents and search terms are not logged.
- Sitemap Generator (crawl mode): the website address you enter is sent to our server, which visits that website’s public pages. Crawl results are kept in memory for about 10 minutes so you can review them, then discarded.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting and security services (including our web server and Cloudflare) record technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request. This is used to keep the site running, to protect it from abuse (for example, rate limits on server-based tools), and to fix problems. These logs are kept only for a limited period.
Cookies and similar technologies
Our own tools don’t use cookies. Some tools use your browser’s session storage to remember things during your visit, such as a recent search or the file you’re viewing; this is cleared when you close the tab. Third-party services described below may set cookies.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are popular. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as pages visited, approximate location and device type. We don’t send the contents of files or text you enter into our tools to Google Analytics. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Advertising
We may show ads provided by Google AdSense and other advertising partners.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
For more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. Where required by law, for example for visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, we ask for your consent before personalised ads or non-essential cookies are used.
